Darryl Babatunde Smith is an artist whose work acts as a visual translation after having first studied Ancient Greek and Latin.  His personal connection and admiration for classical languages, poetry, and myths led him to make work in response to narratives inundated with complex human emotion, terror, and questions about self-identity.  He finds inspiration in the perfection often attributed to art in antiquity and uses it to transcribe literary discomforts with grace and care.
